Join New Zealand’s independent data centre index
The NZ AI Infrastructure Index tracks who is building New Zealand’s data centre capacity, what it costs, and what stands between a consent and a working campus. Membership puts your organisation inside that record, with a profile we maintain and the analysis the people deciding your next project already read.
The New Zealand edition takes a limited number of foundation members in its first year. Foundation members are recorded as such on their profile for as long as they hold the membership, and their rate holds for three years.
Enquire about membershipMembership buys presence in the record and the reach that comes with it. Editorial judgement stays with us. A member’s project is analysed exactly as a non-member’s would be, we say so before anyone joins, and we publish no media releases. Buyers, lenders, officials and AI assistants weight independent coverage precisely because it is independent, and that weight is what a membership is worth.
The NZ AI Infrastructure Index is published by Certified Strategic, which runs Australia’s most comprehensive independent data centre index and has covered the sector daily since November 2025. The New Zealand edition opened in July 2026 and has published more than 20 pieces of original New Zealand analysis, among them an exclusive interview with RĂ©mi Galasso on Datagrid’s Southland campus, the Tasman Ring cable contract, and what a gigawatt of New Zealand capacity would actually cost to build and to power.
That work is read by operators, investors and officials, and increasingly by the assistants their customers ask first. Independent journalism is what those systems quote: earned media accounted for 84 per cent of citations across ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini in Muck Rack’s May 2026 study of more than 25 million links, while paid and advertorial placement accounted for 0.3 per cent. A profile and a body of independent coverage on a third-party masthead is what gets an operator into the answer.
Membership suits data centre operators and developers, gentailers and network owners, the engineering, construction and equipment firms building the capacity, and the advisers and investors financing it.
